Braces coming off but I don't think it's time!! HELp

I had an over bite and gaps through out my teeth and I got my braces put on a yr ago my bite is fixed and most of my gaps are closed but I have two small gaps on the sides of my teeth. My orthodoc told me that I will be getting them off this mt. but I just don't think it is time, I really want these gaps to close and I am scared that the other gaps will reopen since I've only had my braces for a yr. Is it true that theses two gaps are not capable of closing...what must I do??

you need to talk to your ortho. Sometimes the ortho leaves the spaces that cannont be seen in your smile to keep the teeth that are seen straight and closed spaces. When there is a severe overbite the need to bring some of the teeth back and this causes teeth on the sides to sometimes have spaces... but if it bothers you talk to him/her about the options. However I wouldnt worry about it.

i am also in your situation i am supposed to be having mine off tomorrow and i still have a slight crossbite/underbite slight, as when i bite down my upper teeth just fit behind lowers :/ and i have a few gaps
