Hello,

I have been wearing braces on my bottom teeth for a year now and my orthodontists wants to take them off next time I visit. But I still have a small problem: there is a gap between some of my bottom and top teeth (i.e. my bottom teeth are further inside than the top ones) and I fear that two of my top teeth will sink to meet the bottom ones. Could someone advise me please whether such movement is possible, or there is no problem in your opinion and I should not worry?

Also if to take braces off at this stage and put the permanent retainers on is there a chance that this gap will close, as my doctor said teeth will move slightly after the braces are taken off?
