    Brackets keep breaking

One bracket on my top tooth keeps breaking, this is the 6th time it's broke and it's really annoying! I told my orthodonist loads of times and he fixes it but a few hours after it breaks again!!! This time the bracket has been broke for over a month cause he couldn't see me will this make my time wearing braces longer????

is your ortho allowing enough time (1 to 2 months) before putting back the powerbands or any strong moving methods.. the glue should be allowed to dry for SEVERAL weeks before applying strong movement type methods...

It definetley won't shorten your treatment time if you are having this problem.

Brackets don't come off without a reason, and you need to talk to your ortho about the reason for this happening so many times. Is the tooth rotated, so there's more pressure on the bracket from the archwire? If not ... then is it a bonding problem, or is the bracket being knocked by a tooth on your lower arch?

Having a bracket off, will not help your treatment, but it may not slow it down either, it all depends on what is needed for the tooth that's not connected to the archwire. I've had a bracket off for over a month, and once back on, the tooth was in line with the others within a few days, with no obvious delay ... as my ortho told me would happen.

Talk to your ortho and make sure the answer you get is acceptable.
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

Premraj I've responded to your post in the thread you started.

Please don't post the same question more than once ... and don't use capitals, as that represents 'yelling'.

Some of your teeth will be being moved, while the archwire is connected to the brackets on them. These other two teeth will be right, once the brackets stay on them. Good luck with getting this sorted.
