the adjustment had pushed one of my front tooth a lot lower than the other one.

I chose to ask this question in the forum for these reasons:
    1) My orthodontist's office is closed until Tuesday
    2) I do not want to ask my orthodontist "is this suppost to happen?" type question which may sound like I am insulting her quality of work.

I have been wearing braces for almost 2 years nows. I went to my orthodontist last week for a routine check up, and had my braces adjusted. I noticed a that the pain from the adjustment had lasted longer than usual (1 week). I looked in the mirror and noticed that the adjustment had pushed one of my front tooth a lot lower than the other one. t My two front teeth use to be straight, aligned, and even (1 week ago). My question is: why are my braces pushing my front tooth out of place, and is this part of the process? Is it because the adjustments to my braces were too tight, and are pushing my teeth together too much? Resulting in my tooth to be unintentionally pushed out of place?

As a concerned patient, you need to contact your ortho and express your concern about your front teeth. The archwire may have been accidently bent, which is causing this to happen, or it may be intentional.

I'm not sure what you mean by this question, as braces are not tightened at adjustments. Many years ago, the archwire was 'wound' at adjustments, for teeth that need to be moved back in the mouth, this had the affect of 'tightening'. This practise has been long out dated, due to modern archwires.
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
