    Having My Braces Removed

Hi everyone, first post. I first got a brace on my upper teeth to close my gap between my front teeth. I then had to have two lower teeth (not visible when smiling) removed as i had no adult teeth underneath and now have a brace to close up those massive gaps.

Buy anyway, my upper teeth now have no visible gaps when smiling. Is it worth continuing to keep the brace in to close gaps which noone will ever see, or would the gaps just open up again if i had my upper brace removed?

I've had my lower brace for around 6 months now and there is absolutely NO difference in the size of gaps, i'm pretty sick of it. Would there be any harm in just having my brace removed? I know it'll always be a little awkward eating with big gaps but I'm sure I could cope.

    Thanks for any help

My advice is to go for it and keep them on. The longer your braces are on, the better the chance that your teeth won't move when getting them off.

Ofcourse I HIGHLY recommend you wear that retainer 24/7 for as long as the ortho says.

discuss it with your ortho. Good luck and welcome!
