Yes the metal ones do provide more support.
Invisible Braces would be ebtter for those with a mild problem but those more extreme cases metal does provide more support.
YUpz, i had the metal installments a few years back  even though at that time i had a choice between invisalign and the metal.
It was quite scary when i first had it, same thing, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep. But eventually i found out that the metal installments were much more sturdy and strong compartively.Cos one of my friends had an misadventure with the invisible one.
Metal is better to some extent, isn't it?

Misadventure? What happened to him? Did he ate the installation or something?
