    Can you still kiss?

I am quite afraid to smooch after I started having braces, because my girlfriend kept saying that I would cut her lips and she did not want Ulcers after that.

Is there a way to do it without hurtin the other party?

there's no problem at all, just a psycological barrier. I can still smooch my girlfriend and she doesn't complain about anything.

    Hah!!!

I hope your not planning to eat up your gf?
Well, you just need to relax and give your gf a gentle kiss, just try slowly kissing and you will get the right path and you can smooch without hurting.
IF you are not a wild kisser.

Man, I don't think her lips should be a problem!

Anyway, my girlfriend has braces now, and we have no problem, no cuts or anything. Just be a little careful!

I got braces about 6 weeks ago and for the first 10 days or so I was so afraid of how would I kiss my husband. At first we just gave gentle kisses with NO tongue! lol Well it seems that a few days later we both forgot that I had braces on and kissed, really kissed and guess what? Nothing happened lol My hubby is really supportive and let me know that he thought the braces were cute and even licked all the way across my top braces lol Kissing is not a problem for me. Think of it for a moment? How often do you kiss with the front of your teeth? Never. In fact you should not feel your partner's top teeth while kissing.
I do not know what happens to people that have the lingual braces/Ibraces since those brackets are glued to the inside of the teeth instead of outside!

P.S. take your time and most important of all Communicate with your partner and kiss!

Don’t feel conscious about braces. I used to kiss when I had braces and I never hurt my boy friend. So don’t worry nothing happens, enjoy smooching as you used to do before braces.

Glad to see that you can still manage a good kiss even with braces. My boyfriend would be pretty dissappointed if I were unable to give him a kiss just because I am getting braces.
