I guess it depends on each person and their pain tolerance. For me, 2 weeks was the magic number for ..I was feeling better by then....and then 4 months is how long it took for me to totally adjust and feel okay...by 5 months I stopped looking in the bathroom mirror the minute I woke up to look for any changes! Now at 7 months, they are uncomfortable after appointments but feel much better after a couple of days.
Good luck with the pain going away soon!

I understand that! The results start quick! I noticed my changes within weeks...in the past 7 months everything has changed..my bite, the crowding...it's crazy!
I look forward to the appointments, the hardest part for me was actually getting the ligs off if my teeth were having a sensitive day.....makes me cringe...but this week, they were feeling fine and getting them off was no problem. How ever when they put my upper teeth entirely in figure 8's ...power chain I guess, that's what she called them...to me it looks like they are all tied in figure 8's! Now that was a little tough while she was doing it...but minutes after I was already adjusting. That night was a little painful..but here I am 3 days later and feeling much better. I can't wait to get to my next appointment. I am going every 6 weeks now--yay..hated waiting 8 weeks inbetween!

    Pain

It took me about 2 weeks to get back into my normal routine of eating and for the pain to go away. My front two teeth were still kind of sensitive and then maybe every week one tooth would ache a little (I guess from them moving). I was happy to be able to eat again but I cut up all of my food into tiny pieces. I just went for my first adjustment appointment on Monday. They put the power chains on and I was fine but boy that night I was in P-A-I-N. It's Thursday now and I'm still in a little pain but not as bad. I take advil and am rinising my mouth with salt water to ease some of the pain. Still feasting on pancakes and pretty much anything soft. One thing I'm so happy that I did was schedule my first adjustment appointment after the 4th of July. I was able to enjoy some good food!!!
