root canal treatment

Hi,
I am finally in the first stages of getting my clear braces. Before i have my brace fitted i need to have some root canal treatment on my two top front teeth. I am booked in for the 1st september. The dentist said she has to drill the two front teeth at the back, then i go back 2 weeks later for some more work, does anone have any info for me please is this correct sounds abit worrying to me!

Hi,

I had a root canal done when I first wore braces as a teen. The root canal was no issue and didn't hurt at all except for the soreness afterwards. Not sure if your dentist wants to do one at a time or why you would need to return in 2 weeks. I know when I had this done I had to return several times after the root canal was finished as the dentist internally bleached the tooth and I had to go back I think a total of 4 or 5 times every week or so to have the progress checked before the final filling was placed.
