So a couple weeks ago, a single wing broke on the ceramic bracket on one of my upper central incisors. No big deal, my orthodontist replaced it (and explained that ceramic bracket are relatively brittle [compared to metal brackets].)
Anyway, in replacing it, the new bracket was glued to my tooth ever-so-slightly higher up on my tooth than the previous bracket. As such, the archwire has now pulled the tooth down, ever-so-slightly. It's not a whole lot, but now my two front teeth don't form a straight edge at the tearing edge.
It's probably not noticable by anyone unless they were to closely inspect my teeth. I would assume that my orthodontist would notice this. But as with the plaque build-up on my teeth (in a previous thread of mine) my orthodontist hasn't said anything about it. Should I be concerned about it?

You need to talk to your ortho about this. Please don't play waiting games to see if your ortho will bring the subject up, as maybe he's not as observant as you.
Good luck!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
