you may be one of those cases that can get away with just bottom braces depending on your bite...

however if they brace top and bottom, the uppers won't use the more powerful wires and such like the bottom will.

you might be a good candidate for invisalign too...

    Get a few opinions.

You need to make appointments to see a few orthodontist's and listen to what they recommend. Make sure you ask any questions that concern you and are happy with the answers you get.

    Good luck!

Braces are definitely not designed to ruin your smile, but often they're needed on both arches, as the arch that is being corrected will often change the bite and therefore the top teeth need to be adjusted, so that your bite comes together in the correct way.

Invisalign require the treatment of both arches as well and for an experienced provider, fixing your teeth should not be an issue.

If you're not confident with the consults you've had so far ... have more!

    Good luck!

    Thumbs up

It is good for you that you listen to sunny that you go to the orthodontist. to make your teeth make in the right place.
it is true that having a brace with your teeth will ruin your smile but it can definitely fix your teeth in the lower part. It can straighten the line of your teeth and it will become much better than before.
but make sure also that you will go to orthodontist if you encounter some problem on your teeth if you are using your braces. It can help you to minimize some risk if there was something wrong with your brace.
take good care of your teeth

Well i think you should do it because if you really need braces then you don't have to worry a lot. Because after sometime you will be back with your smile.
