My son, 17, is having a Sure Smile scan in about 8 weeks. What is involved in this procedure? He's had his braces on for a few months, so now we're ready to do the scan. The appointment is for 1 1/2 hours, but I'm wondering if it's just basically "be very still while we take these pictures of your teeth" or is there anything that could cause pain? I'm trying to work around high school soccer games, so I don't want to have this appointment at 3:00 in the afternoon if he's going to be in pain for a game that night. Thanks. This is my first post and I just found this forum. He is also having orthognathic surgery in June, so I'm jumping over to that forum next!

Thanks, Stephanie. His appointment for the scan is Feb. 26; we're shooting for the orthognathic surgery (in the other thread, which you have also answered my question) in very early June.
