Good luck! It's going to be quite a journey for you, but in the end we all know that it's going to be totally worth it!! And major congrats for finally taking care of YOU.![]()
I am so excited to be getting braced tomorrow. Yesterday I went in for a really deep cleaning. Over the past 5 years I've had 2 high risk pregnancies ( both ended well, with babies that keep me busy), so you know how that goes. I kept putting off cleanings and it call caught up with me yesterday. I had 8 numbing injections and 2 fillings as well. I was completely numb from my nose to my throat. So weird.
Tomorrow at 2:00pm (CDT) I will be braced for the first time ever.I'm starting to get nervoius but I have faitih in my doctor. He just doesn'w want to do ceramics on the bottom period.
Congrats and best of wishes on your new journey to a beautiful smile.
All the best Carrie!
Trust your ortho to do the right thing with the brackets. Many ortho's won't put ceramic on the lowers due to the ceramic being so hard it can chip teeth if they bang on it. So anyone with a deep bite/overjet etc would be at risk of damaging their upper teeth with ceramics on the lowers.
Remember - keep well hydrated, lip balm for your lips, salt water rinses, use wax generously ...![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
