My braces are supposed to come off in about three weeks. I don't have an edge to edge bite anymore, but the thing is, when I talk, my top and bottom teeth still touch. The top and bottom teeth in the front still make contact when I speak. Is this normal? Are your teeth supposed to have contact or not? It seems like when I see other people talk, their teeth in the front (top & bottom) do not touch while they are speaking.

Talk to your ortho about your concerns SITL.
When you bite, your teeth should come into contact, unless your bite is still slightly open. The uppers should close slightly in front of the lowers. Some times when you talk your teeth will touch and for some people they touch more often than others.
Your ortho should be able to advise what is right or not for your bite.
Good luck!![]()

Do your front (top and bottom) teeth ever touch when you talk??
Mine used to, but they don't any more.
