I had braces up until about 6 months ago to correct my bite. Now I notice that my canine teeth (top and bottom on each side) do not both touch when I bite, meaning I can only have one pair touching at a time, they are too wide apart (just barely) to where they can't all be in contact..
are all 4 canine teeth supposed to touch at the same time? I have TMJ issues and wonder if this has something to do with it.
Also, I wasn't really aware of this much until today when I went to a neuromuscular dentist and he said I was biting too far back (I didn't think to ask about the canine teeth then), so now I am making a conscience effort to bite down on at least one side with the canine teeth being the first to meet.. should I just pick one side, where its easier to bite down on them (for me, the right side) and always bite this way?
