    getting them off

I just got back from the ortho. The spacing is almost all closed and when they did an X-ray, the doctor said I won't need repos. My question is what's left? After all the space are closed, what else will the need to do before making the retainers and getting them off?

Is your bite coming together correctly? Did your ortho talk about how the roots of your teeth are positioned, as it's important to allow time for them to be correct, otherwise the risk of relapse is high.

Talk to your ortho ... hopefully it won't be too much!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!

The repos was for the roots. When she saw the roots were aligned, she said there's no need for repos. I wanted to talk to her more but she is always really busy. She is a good doctor, just hard to talk to.

Sounds to me like possibly the only thing left is working on your bite, and making sure everything is exactly how she wants it before taking the braces off and putting you in retainers. Good luck, how exciting!!
