hey everyone,
i recently have been experiencing problems with coughing and it feels like i have phlegm/mucous stuck in my throat....several weeks ago i had pain from the right side of my jaw because my wisdom teeth was coming out and then after several days the pain went away...a week later..my left side is giving very light pain and i believe it's the wisdom tooth coming out on the left side...but i've also been coughin alot...and today i lost my voice....out of NO WHERE! i'm a bit scared...it's a bit strange for all these symptoms to show up right?
Does anyone have a recommendation or something i can do to get my voice back....i work in retail so i NEED my voice in order to be efficient at work....i've gone to visit my dentist about the wisdom tooth on the right side and she stated that it is the tooth coming out that was causing the pain so i'm assuming the left side pain is caused from the wisdom tooth as well...but i'm scared from the coughin and the loss of my voice...
that's a bit weird...help please!

After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
I agree with Sunny, as a quick visit to the doctor will put your mind at rest.
When I first got Invisalign, I also had a sore throat and cough for a few days. I think sometimes our bodies get a little overwhelmed and stressed and they respond in different ways. I also used to lose my voice every March-April due to allergies, but I now seem to have built up an immunity so fortunately (or unfortunately to some!), I have no loss of voice anymore. Gargle with salt water and drink lots of lukewarm water and herbal tea (add fresh lemon) to soothe your throat, but do not push talking as that will only exhaust your voice further.
What you are experiencing also sounds a bit like what my daughter would experience when she was teething (including when the twelve year molars came in a few years ago). Maybe that's all it is!
Good luck!
thank you for your replies everyone,
I will be contacting a ENT doctor to set an appointment to have a visit because this really concerns me...i think i made it worse however because i went to work these past 2 days like this...and with my voice all screwed up i had to talk to customers (it's the nature of my job) and i'm scared that I made it worse....
i'll give an update on what the problem is when i find out from the ENT doctor...
thank u again everyone!
