    Closing the gap

The ortho placed one of those springs on my canine and one of my front side tooth to create space for a tooth so a bracket can be put on it. My front two teeth previous had a gap about -- that far apart (between the lines). Two days after the spring was place in place the gap was completely closed. All I can say was WOW that was fast. Hopefully it can close the gap created by my extraction - ultimately creating some extra space for my tooth to be straighten.

I guess the moral to the story is keep you teeth clean - brush and floss ever day (and mouth wash if necessary)!

Fantastic that the gap closed so quickly ... it's amazing how these things can happen. Remember that it may take a bit longer for the roots of those teeth to move into place, so that the gap will remain closed ... but it will happen!

Here's to your treatment continuing to go well!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
