Do you think my procedure is weird?

First of all my orthodontics office only opens once every 2 weeks and sometimes 3 or 4 weeks.
The first day of the procedure, I had an X-ray taken, and molding impression JUST for the bottom teeth, and 4 spacers on top.
Second meeting of procedure (this is 2 weeks after the first one), he tried on some molar bands and left it there for like 5 minutes, and then took the molding for the upper teeth. After he took off the molar bands off he put the spacers back on and he said he needed to send the molar bands that were fitted in my teeth and the molding to the lab. He also said he will start with the expander first before the braces.

Now my next appointment is like 1 month away I am not sure why, and I am so mad because I have these spacers in my teeth. Does anyone think my procedure is going by really slow?
Do you have any idea what my next procedure might be? I forgot to ask him cause i was really mad

If it makes you feel any better, then I think the way it's going with you is better than what happened with me! It's better that things take a bit longer and that things are looked at carefully before starting the treatment fully. My braces were put on the first day without the orthodontist even doing molds etc!

My orthodontist also only works every 4 weeks in the place I go to - So I see him every 4 weeks - I think that's why in my case, he put them on quickly, and this is why yours has been the opposite so it will take longer but like I say, at least things are being looked at and being done with much attention.

I say stick with it and keep patient.
