Teeth filing?

I've had my bottom center teeth, in between the teeth, filed like three times. I'm afraid in my next visit he'll file more. He uses something that looks like a floppy nailfile. I'm nervous that maybe the brackets are positioned too low so they aren't moving. This is the 2nd time I've had braces, the first time filing wasn't needed.

Would it be crazy if I request him to file no more!! Or that mybe moving the brakets would be a better option.
