Nycole ... what an annoying problem, but only your ortho can comment on what this archwire can do. Hopefully it will help your teeth adjust, so your bite becomes a type I, which is how it should be.
Good luck that next month your teeth get naked!
Yesterday, I went in to the orthodontist scheduled to get my braces off.
(I've been told since Feb. that I'm getting them off next time I come in.)
So, I finally thought this was it and these suckers were coming off, but no.
About two months ago my orthodontist told me to stop wearing my elastics because I've "overcorrected" my bite.
Last month he didn't say anything about it, but didn't take them off because he wanted to file down my teeth.
This month I come in and by overcorrecting my overbit, I've apparently gave myself an edge to edge bite, woohoo!
hence, me not getting mybraces off, yay.):
my orthodontist gave me a thicker wire on my top teeth, telling me that this would fix the problem. who knows how?
and once again told me that I'd probably be getting them off next time I come in. I seriously wanted to cry.
Anyway, my questions are:
1. Do you honestly think this will only take a month to complete?
2. How will a thicker wire help fix this problem?
THANKS!<3
