I got my braces put on August 5 on both top and bottom. I have overcrowding and needed to get 4 1st premolars taken out to make room. MY canine teeth are higher than my other teeth. I just noticed a couple days ago that my top right front tooth is lower than the top left tooth and the tooth that is lower is not even with the left tooth(it's kind of flaring outward). Before braces they were even. Should I be concerned about this or is it too early in treatment?
No worries!! You are so early in your treatment - trust us when we say your teeth are going to do a LOT of moving around. In fact, they will be moving into place up until the day you have your braces off which is a long time from now. I have had all kinds of strange things happen with my teeth over the last 17 months. Once, I had a huge gap between my two front teeth. I looked like Madonna! It was freaking me out. For now, have fun watching them move all around![]()
Since having my braces put on 4 weeks ago, they've already moved so that the upper left front tooth is pulled back so that it is nearly even with the one on the right. Also, with the exception of the space between my lower lateral incisor and my canine (I have a bracket on the incisor that is resting right up against the canine), I can now get my floss between my teeth much easier - except for the arch wire, of course.
I'm looking forward to seeing how long it's going to take to fill in the gap where my first upper left bicuspid was pulled with the canine and to correct my midline.
You guys are making me very excited about quick progress!
And I will also add that I've had my braces on for 12 days, and I can already tell that some of my bottom teeth are more spaced out than before. Flossing is a great indicator!
Good luck and YES your teeth are always moving. Take photos if you can so you can see how your teeth are progressing and changing. My teeth never cease to amaze me. It seems every single time I look in the mirror I see something different. I am now awaking every single day wanting to see what new 'adventures' are happening in my mouth. No worries all is normal
