Hi Ashley ... congratulations on having naked teeth ... I hope you're thrilled with your new bite and smile!
Has your ortho left bonding on your teeth that still needs to be removed? A visit to your dentist should hopefully have the surface of your teeth cleaned and back to there usual look.
Here's to your lifetime commitment to retainers making sure your teeth always look outstanding!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
The scratches may be due to bonding material or the need to polish the teeth. Depending on the type of bur used, and the speed of the handpiece, it may more or less likely to see very fine lines left in the teeth. Our protocol for removing resin involves a high speed handpiece with a very fine fluted bur, followed by the use of a rubber polishing bur to eliminate any surface irregularities. That being said, many people have "craze lines" or irregularities on their teeth and it is possible that you simply didn't notice them before your teeth were straight.

I just want to say congratulations on your debanding!I bet your teeth look amazing. You are so lucky to have graduated to retainers and no longer having braces! Hopefully you can go back to your orthodontist and have your teeth repolished, or perhaps see your dentist and get their opinion on what the lines could be.
