Braces / overbite !!!!!

So Ive had braces since the 20th of August 2010 and just missed my last appointment since Ive been so busy Going to get my month 4 tightning on january 30th (sooo excited to get them tightened) I want them off asap !!!

He said Id have them on for a year so Im hoping so !! Go to my old post if you want to know why I got them on for and pictures of my teeth.

My question is and if anyone can help me.. why do I only have top braces to fix an overbite? It seems everyone who has braces for an overbite has the whole lot and elastics. Where as my dentist says I only need braces for the top?

You need to ask your ortho this question as s/he's the only person who can answer questions about your treatment plan.

Maybe your lowers don't need any work and any work needed to move your upper teeth back in your jaw bone can be done without using elastics attached to your lowers. There are a variety of things that may be planned, but first ask your ortho at your adjustment and hopefully you'll be happy with the reply.
