What braces did Tom Cruise wear?

His braces seem to be really invisible compared to other clear braces I've seen. He wore braces almost 10 years ago and I'd think brackets would have improved.

I don't know what exact type of brace/brackets Tom wore, but I think maybe they looked less visible because the only photos I can find of him in braces were shot at a distance. The photos of peoples clear/ceramic braces on these forums are up VERY close so that might be why they appear more visible



After looking at the above photo, I can really notice how much his upper midline is off!





But looking at these pictures, I'd personally say that they don't look any less visible to me than other clear braces really

Probably they are ICE brackets.

Actually, they look like Clarity by 3M Unitek. The basic appearance of these braces has not changed since the time he wore them.

It also seems his wire blends in well too. Many of the clear braces that are virtually invisible are always ruined by metallic bulky wires. I can't believe we can fly to the moon and discover planets we still don't have invisible wires.

The Damon Clear braces look really good(darn near perfect) in the promotional pictures(the wires appear invisible) but when I see it on real consumers it looks average(once again because of obvious wires). Does anyone have pics of clear braces that look good?

They were the 3M Clarity brand ... we used to use the same brackets when I first started working for my ortho.

Rocwilder35 ... promotional photos are adjusted, just as photos of models etc are. There is work being done on an almost invisable wire, but like most new things, it will take many years of testing and then many years to be accepted.

I know the appearance of all things orthodontic is important to us, but in the big picture there are other things that are way more important that need researching and having money invested.

The colour of his teeth make it look like the photos haven't been 'doctored' and the lightening is natural. I think this is fantastic, as it's rare that you see photos of celebs that are natural.

On this site showing celebs wearing braces Tom's were the only one that were virtually invisible with the exception of the archwire which really wasn't that visible. The way Delta Goodrem's braces look to me is horrendous so whatever brand that is I would suggest against that they are as horrible as the full mouth of metal of yesteryear.

I really admit of all the clear braces I have ever seen on celebs or everyday people his to me look the best. That is how I would want clear braces to look on me.

The pic. of Tom Cruise was one that my wife showed me a while back, and I was hoping I could get braces similar to him - and my Damon Clears seem to be about as difficult to see as his were. Yay :) .
