Well how do your teeth look? Are they really crooked or are the straight with a bad bite? Maybe your teeth just don't need much work done.
I have started my second orthodontic treatment in January of this year. I had braces from 2002 to 2004 the first time and after a sports accident in 2006 my teeth have relapsed and I'm now 21 in my second round of treatment.
My orthodontist told me that I would only need to be in braces for 8-10 months to solve the problem. I don't understand how my treatment would only take 8-10 months this time and 24 months the first treatment.

Fantastic that your teeth don't need much work to get them corrected for the second time!
Ask your ortho why your treatment is so short. It may be that your bite is fine and you only need alignment correction, which is the first stage of treatment and is usually completed quite quickly.
Good luck with getting your great bite and smile back!![]()
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
My teeth were still pretty straight they were just to the point that I couldn't put my removable retainer in the top. My bite was still correct for the most part but the accident caused me to have a slight open bite. The bite is already closed up. I had a permanent retainer on the bottom and they removed it to place bottom braces on my lowers.
