    Question Upside down lower brackets?

So after a brief convo with Robot Teeth, I have discovered my lower brackets are indeed In-Ovation R, NOT Damon. But after comparing my brackets with the pictures online, mine are upside down! Instead of pushing down to open the SL bracket, they push up. I wonder why they decided to do it this way. Anyone else have upside down brackets??

I would post a picture, but I don't have a good camera to get a closeup shot

When one of my brackets popped off I heard one tech tell the other tech to make sure she put it on upside down since that's how mine are on the bottom. I'll take a picture of mine and post, but it probably won't be the best quality. I was really curious and wondering the same thing as well. How do you tell the difference between In-Ovation and Damon?

I think it has something to do with the direction the doors slide closed and the angle of the bracket on the tooth. They LOOK upside down on the bottom, but don't forget your teeth are actually upside down too, so the brackets are actually fixed on there in the same way that they are on top. Here is the In-Ovation brochure that the doctors order from. http://www.gacintl.com/UserFiles/Fil...ACBrackets.pdf If you scroll down, you'll see that there are actually several different kinds within the brand, and they are all just the tiniest bit different from each other with the angles and proportions. And the tiny little multicolored dots tell the doctor exactly how to set the bracket on the tooth, so you can rest assured that yours aren't upside down! That's just the way they work and affix to your teeth and the wire.
