Has anyone ever put colored ties on ceramic braces??

I go in for my next adjustment tomorrow and was thinking about putting a light turquoise color on my ceramic brackets.. I have ceramic on the top and metal on the bottom and I haven't tried colors yet.. Has anyone done this and liked how it looked or should I stick with the clear ties???? I can't find any pictures online of ceramic braces with colored ties...

Ceramic braces have a high tech glass-like composition that was developed as a spin-off material by the NASA space program. Ceramic braces are clear or tooth-colored. They are worn on the front of the teeth, and the tie wraps and brackets used are clear or tooth-colored as well...

I have just had braces fitted myself and was thinking the exact same thing. My orthodontist showed me a model of teeth with ceramic braces and coloured bands on. I thought they looked great! I might get some myself on my first adjustment!

Hello, what color ties did the model have on? I've read online that baby blue and pink look the best...

In my opinion coloured ligs and powerchains look amazing around ceramic brackets, as the ceramic gives the colour a glow. Cool shades have a 'whitening' affect on teeth ... blues, greens etc, whereas warm colours ... yellow, reds etc, have a more creaming affect on teeth.

Be confident that any colour you like will be fine. Remember that colours also stain, especially light and pastal shades. Plus yellow foods stain blue ligs and powerchains funny green shades and other mixes from the colour wheel like that!

My favourite coloured ligs and powerchains were purple and black. Never showed stain and I love those colours!
After 5 years, 11 months and two days of stainless steel brackets ... my teeth now have upper and lower bonded, gold wire, retainers and removable clear retainers!
