2 weeks ago I got braces and they told me I can start eating in just days, maybe a week.
But 2 weeks later I try to bite down but it still hurts on the front teeth and the back gets sore again after a dozen chews.
Also, because of the way my teeth are aligned, I can not close my mouth all the way with these braces on, it's stopped by one molar biting down on a bracket, or whatever it's called that incases and is glued to your molars. (there's a gap about the size of the very tip of the tounge on the back left side)
They said it would "straighten fast/quickly" (?) I'm assuming that I can bite down normally in a short amount of time, but how long would that be? I know it's only been 2 weeks but they said I'd be able to eat soon and I'd be able to bite down again "soon"... Neither has happend (teeth dont look like or feel like they've moved) except for the fact that the inside of my mouth and tounge arn't sore
Sorry for the extra rant, my main concern is how i'm suppose to eat when it still hurts and when I have managed to attempt to eat, more food got on the braces than down my throat.
P.S. I think I clench my jaw when I sleep.

There is also a click sometimes from the bracket on that one tooth that gets contact. My guess is the cement has cracked. Should I get this fixed as soon as possible?
the first month or so is the hardest. .trust me it will get better. if there is a click and a broken bracket I would make an appointment to get it fixed.. take a look back there and make sure... so you dont waste your time...
you will be able to eat soon. .try a painkiller in the meantime or check on your back teeth or the side that doesnt hurt
