21 years old, non surgical ways of correcting overbite

I'm over 20 years old and would like to know what are some non-surgical ways to correct an Class II overbite? Are they just as effective as surgery in expanding the jaw/moving it forward?

Hi ironman! I recently went to the ortho and requested non surgical treatment for my Class II overbite. The major component of my treatment will be a Herbst appliance. I will need to wear it for about 15 months. I will also have braces before and after treatment to make sure alignment is all correct, and then I will wear a Damon Splint at night for the rest of my life. My doc said that surgery = perfection, but that this treatment will give us the best possible results without surgery.
