I've been wearing braces since February/09 and I have to have them on until October/12. They were supposed to be off this past May, but weren't even close to being done. He says that my two front teeth are as straight as they will be and now I'm wearing elastics for my overjet (5%). I'm having some brackets repositioned (again...) because the roots aren't close together, their like '\ /' instead of 'l l' on four of my teeth on top, the lateral incisors and the canine teeth. My two front teeth are really ugly, and really bother me. They aren't even straight! 1 is and the other isn't. They don't line up and one sticks out. There is a paper thin gap at the top and a large triangular gap at the bottom. It stands out A LOT in pictures and I never smile because of it. What the hell is the point in getting braces if they don't even give you straight teeth like they promise? Between the braces, palatal expander, wisdom teeth removal, extractions and exposing, it's been around $10,000 for not straight teeth. Even my ortho said the gap doesn't look good. To top it off there is a burn mark from the laser on my canine tooth that can't be removed.

Is there any other options to fix the ugly gap? When I get the braces off it will still look like I need braces! And as you can see in the first picture, the line between my front teeth on the top doesn't line up with the one on the bottom.
