well as far as I know If they give you Hawley retainer, they can still do some miner movement by adjusting your retainer![]()
Hey y'all, i'm new here.. and worried! After 2 and 1/2 years, I get my braces off tomorrow! However, i have one tiny issue..it seems like my two front teeth are SLIGHTLY and very slightly "Mis-alligned".. now my last scheduled visit was 10 weeks ago, but i've been in twice since then to discuss and get tratement for my front two teeth not perfectly cooperating. The last time i was in, two weeks ago to the day, they made one final adjustment to line them up, but they are still ever so slightly off. They did say two weeks ago that if I have problems still, it's okay to come in, but they can also make minor adjustments when I get them off..
so my question is, with my issue being so slight, am I going to get them off tomorrow or not? and if I do get them off, how exactly do they make these "minor adjustments" ?! any help is appreciated. thank y'all!

I don't think anyone here can answer this. If you are unhappy then mention it with your ortho. My Ortho told me a few months ago I could possibly be out of my braces by April or May, personally I don't see my teeth being how I want them by then (and I do realise they will never be perfect) and if he ever suggests removing them before I will say I am not happy with that. Sometimes I feel awkward and don't always mention things because I fear I am being a pain, but then I remind myself that I'm paying nearly £3000 for him to sort my teeth and I definitely should speak up if I'm not happy.
But yes, like minhnguyen0691 said, I believe they can make some minor adjustments with a hawley retainer. Of course the best person to ask these questions is your Ortho. Good luck!
EDIT: Just realised this thread was made 2 days ago, so you've already had your appointment! How did you get on?
