Hi, I got my braces on October of 2010. He said treatment would be for 1.5 yrs to close gaps, it is now 1yr 4months. There were 4 total gaps, 2 big ones on the outside of my front teeth and 2 between the canine tooth and the tooth next to the two front teeth. Well, he wants to take them off next appointment but I don't like the treatment so far. From a front view, the teeth look good and decently level but if you look at the right side of my smile, the teeth look as if they are rising or slightly arching upward. And the gaps on the outsides of the two front teeth didn't close so he used bond to fill them in but I can still see a gap near the bottom of the tooth, it looks very weird to me and bothers me greatly. Also, the gaps around the canine teeth are paper thing but I believe could've been closed with longer treatment. Should he have waited longer to close my gaps better around the front teeth? And how should I go about asking him to fix the level of my teeth? He hasn't been the best ortho because every appointment besides this past one, where he wanted to take them off but i insisted he didn't, he has been very short with me. Glances at my teeth, bullshits me like i'm stupid saying that they are looking great (even I can see that he doesn't believe a word he is saying), and then leaves.
The thing that really bothers me is my smile from the right view. My left is almost perfect, a little deep, but not bad but the right side looks like it arches upward a little. Oh and the top gumline also proves this because the right canine tooth is higher then the left and so is the one b/w the canine and front tooth.
I can try and upload picks of my teeth if needed
what is bond?
Dental bond, you know the bond they use to fix gaps or chipped teeth? That's what my dentist referred to it as..
