    Gap in my front teeth

Hi everybody, I want to get braces to close diastema- gap in my front teeth, which is about 4mm. I went to orthodontist, and he recommended me braces not invisalign as I also want to correct my other teeth. Does anybody knows how Long does it take to wear braces to close the gap.
I want to get ice clear braces.
Also can you please let me know if you had experience with ice clear braces. My orthodontist initially offered Clarity 3m unitek advanced braces, but the ligs look a bit milky colour not transparent. I think inspire ice braces look more clear.

    Thanks in advance.

Closing a gap seems like a simple process but alas it will probably take at least a year to get them aligned. My friend and I are 5mos apart in treatment times using the same braces, the 3M clarity smartclips. I had severe crowding and a major overbite and all he has is a front gap like you're describing. He's scheduled to get his off next month, and myself...you guessed it, about 5 - 6 mos behind him. I have never heard of the ice brace you're talking about but my Clarity's are pretty invisible. Teeth are not perfectly white like a sheet of peper, so the "milky" color you describe, against the teeth, is pretty translucent. I used to be a fan or Invisalign (they make them sound like the best thing since sliced cheese) but in all reality, I've heard more horror stories than positives, and people having to end up with braces afterwards anyway.

    Keep us posted!

Also, keep in mind that while you're trying to decide on the clearest bracket out there, the wires are still silver. Plus, once you incorporate thicker wires, power chains, elastics etc later in your treatment, they get more and more noticible. Each month I get adjusted, more people notice them because I'm adding more stuff to them. Just a heads up

    on ICE clear

I am on ICE clear for the top teeth only and metal for the bottom for 6 months now. No issues. I have clear ligs too that color a little bit from my food but I get them changed every month or so. The ICE braces are so smooth that they do not irritate your mouth like metal. Works well in moving teeth.

Hi guys, I got my ice braces 4 days ago. Just the top in the beginning.
I am really pleased how they look. I expected worse. It really hurts my inner cheek, but mainly from one side. I put lots of wax. My bottom teeth are straight. Initially orthodontist, offered me to wear braces on the top only as I dont have bite issues. But when I went to another ortho for consultation, he told that I need top and bottom as when top teeth move, my bottom teeth needs to be aligned as well. Now I am confused. I read what other people told about putting braces on the low teeth when they were perfect only made them not worse. Also my ortho told that they will put permanent retainers on top and bottom, which worries me in terms of clear ing and developing cavities under it.

Thank you all for your answers and support . I feel that I am not alone.
