Braces Questions.. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hello... I am here to ask a question... I need Braces.. only for the top...my teeth are very stright.. but i have a gap in my teepth and a really bad overbite!!! But I cant really afford bracet... what is the cheapest braces.. that can help my top teeth? I really want a nice smile.. and I want my dad to smile to about the price! Please Help!!! I cant really afford anything!!!

If you are just looking to close a gap, metal braces for about a year should do it. Should not be more than $2000 tops for total treatment with retainer.

But if you are lookiing to correct the overbite, you will need braces on top and bottom and they will use rubber bands...

Orthos have great financing where it should come out to about $100 a month or less if you need to spread out more...

Get the braces, you will be very happy with the results.

I agree with Steph! You should get the braces if you need them. Also I know that when my sister had her braces that she found an orthodontist that would allow her to make payments and not use a financing option so that she wouldn't have to pay interest or anything.

I came from a family that did not have a lot of money either but we had two in my family that were in braces at almost the same time. I think that the insurance did pay a very small portion but my parents took a small home equity loan on the house becuase the interest rate was so low that it was the best thing to do, I am not saying that this is a possobility for your family but this is how it was handled in my family.

We also took a small equity loan to be able to pay for braces for my daughter and for myself. "Some " people think that what I am doing is a luxury because the price we are paying and NO we are not rich.But my daughter was so emotional about the condition of her teeth. In my opinion it was really not a big deal. Her pictures always show her with a gorgeous smile but she had an overbite which did cause her pain sometimes.My situation was severe crowding on uppers and lowers.I will need a biheelix on the bottom so the price for mine was more$$$ The top braces for you should be no more than $2,000 The average price for braces is around $4,000 and that depends in what state and the orthodontist you choose.

I am new here and it is scaring me to hear the amount of money it takes to have your teeth straighten! I am in the same perdicament as most, I am paying for these out of my pocket (minus the my insurance) but it still seems a bit high. But I guess it is understandable. My dentist told me all the other health problems that are related to an unhealth mouth :cry: So I will see what the outcome will be tomorrow when I go for my initial consult!

I am 22 years old and have decided to get braces... I went to my orthodontist because I have crowding on the lower and a slight overbite. I have bruxism too (teeth grinding)
I am getting the damon system with the clear brackets on top... They are $5880 which my insurance covers nothing of. I will have to have them for 14 months because of the overbite.. otherwise my time would be shorter..
I am looking forward to having them just because then I will finally have nice teeth (they arent that bad to begin with) I have just always wanted braces to correct the crowding on the lower..
