I'm 54, have one cap/crown on the tooth the right of my left canine. I will be getting a crown/cap on my left front tooth.
I wanted professional whitening as well. I don't want really white teeth, just at 54 I would like to even out their color and lighten them a little.
The reason for the front tooth crown is that tooth has gotten shorter and darker and is sensitive.
My dentist is having me do the whitening first.
Is this correct? They are making me retainers - which is strange in a way because I just got done with invisilign and am supposed to wear my retainers 14 hours a day - to wear at night with the chemical.
They said this could make my teeth sensitive. Well since I already have a sensitive tooth I'm not looking forward to this.
Then they said to do it every night or every other night till it matches my other crown, then do one more night.
Will I be able to discern this? I don't know if I'll be particularly good at matching color.
Anyway just not sure this is the right order to go about all this.
