Chances are that you live near a University and/or college campus that has a Dental School.  If so, you may be able to get in to have your teeth maintained and also use their braces and orthodontics services.  The advantage to this is a significant discount in price as you will have technicians in training and such doing the work on you under the supervision of the professor who is highly trained.

In many cased the schools only allow a certain amount of patients each semester and you will find a long waiting list to get in on the discounted services offered by the school.  Putting your name on a list may require a 1 year wait, however once in many patients report that is was worth the wait.
