Sanding Down Teeth

If your teeth seem too long, than you could be a candidate for tooth veneers.  Sanding down teeth is not a good idea, especially to do your self.  You need to see a dentist and get several opinions.  If you file below the enamel of a tooth you could risk pain, disease, and infection.  The only abrasive that should be used on your teeth is a soft toothbrush and toothpaste.

With that being said, dentist will work to fix your teeth if they are too long, however you do not want to do this yourself and we have seen people on the internet ask if they could use sandpaper to file down teeth.  The answer is NO.  You do not want to use sand paper as it could damage your teeth very easily.

You may be a candidate for teeth braces also.  The teeth that appear to be too long may simply just be out of place and need movement via dental braces.   Dental braces work to move the teeth into proper position slowly by use of brackets and arch wires.

In short, do not sand down your teeth and see a dental professional right away.  Your teeth may be fine, however only a professional can be certain.
