Starting a New Job with Dental Braces
Many adults in today’s workplace decide to get their teeth fixed late in their career. While some may didn’t have the money as a child, or too busy while raising children of their own, dental braces linger in the back of their mind. Before starting a new job, one may be nervous that their peers may think of braces as less professional. Don’t be fooled, nobody really cares that you have braces. If anything they should commend you for working on yourself and self improvement.
Usually the first week of a new job with braces, some may ask you when you got them on, how long you have to wear them, etc. We have found in the workplace that once one person takes the plunge others that have always wanted to straighten their teeth, do so with confidence knowing they have a work buddy to share common experiences with.
You will find that your works will get used to them right away and not even notice them any longer. For those of you that are extremely shy about getting braces because you have a high end executive position, you may want to consider invisible braces such as Invisalign or Lingual braces that go behind the teeth. While this form of orthodontics is not for everyone and Invisalign cost is considerably higher than general braces, you will go through you treatment virtually unnoticed.
