What do you miss the most? (Stuff you could do before Invisalign)

I just noticed it's been really quiet around here so I thought I would ask a question that only other Invisalign wearers can understand. What do you miss doing that you can't do now because of Invisalign?

Mine is wearing lip gloss. I know that sounds weird but I noticed very early on that my lip gloss would come off almost immediately and get all over my aligners... which would drive me INSANE. So now I have a ton of lipglosses I haven't been able to wear for 2 years.

    Anyone else miss something?

I use to go to a lot of photo trips and excursions and the thing I miss the most is having a sandwich on the go, without thinking about flossing, mouthwash and all the paraphernalia involved.

When I was undergoing Invisalign treatment, I missed eating on-the-go the most. While it was great to be able to eat whatever I wanted, it was difficult to eat when I was in a rush. I couldn't just grab something and go. Now that I have retainers and I'm on night time wear only, I don't have that issue any more.

But I have to say, I still liked them much better than the metal braces I had when I was a kid :)

Soprano, agree with EVERYTHING you said! I have been out of Invisalign for months now, but I remember what it was like, not being able to eat whenever I want. Now it seems so freeing! But Invisalign was MUCH better than metal braces!

I try to visit the site every now and then, but life has been busy... how are you doing?

  6. Invisalign is a good way for certain patients to flatten their teeth. The method contains wearing a brace over a period of time. Each tray will change the teeth a little at a time, and ideally at the end, all teeth will be straight and aligned.

  7. Honestly I miss (and still miss) being able to go to bed with naked teeth instead of being stuck with this cage around them but eh if I want to keep them straight I have to wear the retainer. I will say though a couple of times I've worn the retainer during the day instead and slept with it out at night to give myself a treat

I have not posted or visited here in a while since the site has not worked for me in a long time...
