    Strange 'part' on Archwire?

Hi guys, I can't find any info on what's on my wire, so I thought I'd reach out to someone who may know.

    Thanks in advance!

Those are called stops. Some doctors crimp them on to the wire to prevent them from sliding too much, where some may slide the distance of a couple of brackets and end up poking out the back.

I had a couple of those on my lower arch. What are they for? Mine were on each side of my mid line.
